Headed over to the apartment this morning, and the mattress I bought was delivered. I now have one piece of furniture!:)

I actually have two pieces of furniture now, if you count the bookshelf that I brought over today!
I went this morning to sign a lease and see my new apartment for the first time!!! Here are the pictures:

Living Room!! The patio is awesome, I’ll add pictures later…. it wraps around and is pretty wide.
Hopefully I can eventually put a small table out there!
Kitchen… IT HAS A DISHWASHER! :) This is an exciting improvement for me :)

So after all of the excitement of looking at the new apartment for the first time, I went to
Sam Levits to buy some furniture….. and ended up buying a lot. I got a mattress, headboard,
dresser and mirror as well as an end table for the bedroom. I also got a couch, loveseat, end
tables and lamps, which you can see below, minus the plant :)
Jacki came with me for all of the shopping, she is the BEST!

Now I’ll just leave you to your imagination to see how all of this is going to look in the apartment :)

I recently stumbled upon “Aqua Caliente” park, a park with a natural hot spring which leads into two big ponds, full of fish and turtles!
And last week, I stepped foot into my classroom (my classroom for next year, well starting in July) for the first time ever, which was SO exciting! I took a couple of pictures of that as well. 
This door actually leads to a common area of the teachers, where students won’t go. Pretty neat, everything is outdoors, the door in the 2nd to last picture is actually how the students will enter, and it is completely outside!
Happy and proud to say that I am officially a University of Arizona Alumni!
I now have a Masters of Education (MEd) in School Counseling, YAY! After an hour and a half graduation, I headed to my parents hotel (the Hilton on the north side) and hung out by the pool and relaxed all day. I wish I could do THAT more often! :)

No more cap and gown, that thing is HOT in 100 degree weather! :) My friend Marisa and I post-graduation. Marisa is actually going to be the school counselor where I am going to be teaching next year, which is really exciting. Phew, what a day. WOW I’m glad to be done :)
