I did it for cancer.

As I've mentioned previously, I'm participating in an event called Relay for Life.

Relay for life raises money for cancer research.

A very special THANK YOU to the Contos family, Jen Lillis, Mom and Dad, Grandma Buchheit and Aunt Marcia for helping me raise money for this VERY worthwhile event!

So in the spirit of raising money, I created a "teacher torture list" - something that students can pitch money into to earn certain tortures for me. All of the proceeds, of course, go to my relay team!

NEVER did I imagine that I'd make it even halfway up my torture list.

I was wrong.

Sadly, yesterday, I hit the $100 mark.

Except it isn't sad. It is AMAZING that overall,
I've raised over $300, all going straight to the cause.

As if wearing ASU (Arizona State University.. HUGE U of A rival!) gear and a hot pink wig isn't torture enough, I have to complete the REST of the tasks listed behind me, below.

Tomorrow I will be rollerblading around school all day, in a Red wings jersey. Sickening.

And as if looking like this all day wasn't humiliating enough, of COURSE my students pulled me out for a competition in front of the entire school at our quarter 4 pep rally.

I lost. By a lot.

But we had fun :)

All in the name of FIGHTING CANCER! It is worth it. :)
